Description

Beefy Melt Burritos are a warm, cheesy, and satisfying meal made with seasoned ground beef, cheddar cheese, nacho cheese sauce, sour cream, and rice, all wrapped in large flour tortillas and lightly toasted to perfection for a crispy finish.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef Mixture

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning

Cheese & Sauce

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Other Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked white rice
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 tablespoon butter or oil (for toasting)

Instructions

  1. Cook the ground beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat from the pan.
  2. Add seasoning: Stir in the taco seasoning with a splash of water as per seasoning instructions, and cook for a few more minutes until the beef is evenly coated and flavorful.
  3. Prepare the filling: In a large bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, cooked white rice, shredded cheddar cheese, nacho cheese sauce, and sour cream. Mix well to create the filling mixture.
  4. Assemble the burritos: Lay out a flour tortilla on a flat surface. Spoon a generous amount of the beef and cheese filling into the center of the tortilla. Fold in the sides and roll tightly to enclose the filling completely. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.
  5. Toast the burritos: Heat butter or oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place the burritos seam side down in the skillet. Cook for about 2–3 minutes on each side until the tortillas are golden brown and crispy, and the cheese inside is melty.
  6. Serve: Remove the burritos from the skillet and let cool slightly before serving. Optionally, serve with additional sour cream or salsa on the side.

Notes

  • For a spicier option, add diced jalapeños or hot sauce to the filling.
  • Use whole wheat or gluten-free tortillas to make the recipe healthier or gluten-free.
  • Leftover burritos can be wrapped individually and frozen for quick meals later.
  • To reheat, microwave or re-toast in a skillet until warmed through.
