Description

Indulge in the rich flavors of dark chocolate, espresso, and caramel with these decadent Caramel Espresso Truffles. A perfect blend of sweetness and bitterness in every bite!


Ingredients

For the Ganache:

  • 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp instant espresso powder

For the Caramel:

  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • ½ tsp sea salt

For Coating:

  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup melted dark chocolate
  • ¼ cup finely chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ganache: Heat cream and butter until just simmering, pour over chocolate and whisk until smooth. Add vanilla and espresso. Chill.
  2. Make the Caramel: Heat sugar until amber, add butter, then cream and salt. Cool.
  3. Assemble: Roll ganache into balls, coat in caramel, then dip in chocolate and nuts. Chill until set.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try adding a sprinkle of sea salt on top of the truffles before they set.
  • These truffles make a great gift for chocolate and coffee lovers.
