Scale

For the Mascarpone Cream:

    • 2 cups mascarpone cheese
    • 1 cup heavy cream
    • 1⁄2 cup amaretto liqueur
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Cherry Compote:

    • 1⁄2 cup cherry juice
    • 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and chopped
    • 1⁄4 cup granulated sugar
    • 2 tablespoons cherry preserves

Additional Ingredients:

  • 1 package ladyfingers
  • 1⁄4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1⁄4 cup dark chocolate, shaved or grated

Instructions

  1. Prepare Mascarpone Cream: In a mixing bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, amaretto liqueur, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  2. Make Cherry Compote: In a saucepan, simmer cherry juice, fresh cherries, sugar, and cherry preserves until cherries soften and mixture thickens. Let it cool.
  3. Assemble Tiramisu: Dip ladyfingers in cherry juice or amaretto liqueur. Layer soaked ladyfingers, mascarpone cream, and cherry compote in a dish. Repeat layers.
  4. Chill and Serve: Dust the top with cocoa powder and dark chocolate shavings. Refrigerate for a few hours before serving for flavors to meld.

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of amaretto to suit your taste preferences.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, replace amaretto with almond extract.
  • Ensure the mascarpone cheese is at room temperature for easier mixing.
