Description
This Chicken Alfredo Monkey Bread is a deliciously cheesy and savory pull-apart bread made with shredded chicken, creamy Alfredo sauce, and a blend of mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses layered in biscuit dough. It’s perfect for a comforting appetizer or main dish that’s easy to prepare and share.
Ingredients
Scale
Chicken Mixture
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie chicken works great!)
- 1 cup Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Dough and Cheese
- 3 cups refrigerated biscuit dough (like Pillsbury Grands)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Garnish
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it reaches the right temperature for baking the monkey bread evenly.
- Prepare the Chicken Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the shredded cooked chicken, Alfredo sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended to infuse the flavors throughout.
- Cut the Biscuit Dough: Take the refrigerated biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters. This creates bite-sized pieces that will coat evenly with the chicken mixture.
- Combine Ingredients: Add the biscuit dough pieces to the chicken mixture bowl and gently toss to coat all the dough evenly without breaking the pieces apart.
- Add Cheese: Fold in the shredded mozzarella and half of the grated Parmesan cheese into the biscuit and chicken mixture. This will add a rich, creamy texture inside the bread.
- Assemble in the Pan: Grease a bundt pan thoroughly. Transfer the mixture into the pan in layers. Once all is inside, sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese evenly over the top for a golden crust.
- Bake: Place the bundt pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and cooked through.
- Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove the pan and let it cool for about 5 minutes. Carefully invert the monkey bread onto a serving platter. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving for a bright, fresh note.
Notes
- You can use leftover cooked chicken or a store-bought rotisserie chicken to save time.
- Feel free to use homemade Alfredo sauce for a fresher flavor.
- If you like it spicier, add red pepper flakes to the chicken mixture.
- Make sure to grease the bundt pan well to prevent sticking.
- This recipe is best served warm to enjoy the melty cheese texture.
