Description

These Crab Crescent Bites are buttery, golden, and filled with a creamy crab and cheese mixture that makes them the perfect appetizer or snack. Made with refrigerated crescent dough, they come together in minutes and always impress at parties or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough:

    • 1 can (226 g) refrigerated crescent roll dough

Filling:

    • 240 g cooked crab meat, chopped (fresh, canned, or imitation)
    • 115 g cream cheese, softened
    • 2 tablespoons (30 g) mayonnaise
    • 2 green onions, finely chopped
    • 1 teaspoon (4 g) Old Bay seasoning or other seafood seasoning
    • 56 g shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
    • Salt and pepper, to taste

Finishing Touch:

  • Chopped parsley or paprika, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Make the filling: In a bowl, mix crab meat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, green onions, shredded cheese, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Prepare the dough: Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles. Gently stretch each one to widen slightly.
  4. Add the filling: Place about 1 tablespoon of the crab mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Roll and seal: Roll up each triangle starting at the wide end and place seam-side down on the baking sheet. Tuck in any filling if needed.
  6. Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and the dough is cooked through.
  7. Garnish and serve: Remove from the oven and sprinkle with parsley or paprika if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Be sure to drain canned crab meat well before mixing to avoid a watery filling.
  • You can prepare the filling in advance and store it in the fridge for up to a day.
  • For a flakier texture, try using puff pastry instead of crescent dough.
