Ingredients
Scale
Dough:
-
- 1 can (226 g) refrigerated crescent roll dough
Filling:
-
- 240 g cooked crab meat, chopped (fresh, canned, or imitation)
- 115 g cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons (30 g) mayonnaise
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon (4 g) Old Bay seasoning or other seafood seasoning
- 56 g shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Finishing Touch:
- Chopped parsley or paprika, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Make the filling: In a bowl, mix crab meat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, green onions, shredded cheese, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Prepare the dough: Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles. Gently stretch each one to widen slightly.
- Add the filling: Place about 1 tablespoon of the crab mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll and seal: Roll up each triangle starting at the wide end and place seam-side down on the baking sheet. Tuck in any filling if needed.
- Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and the dough is cooked through.
- Garnish and serve: Remove from the oven and sprinkle with parsley or paprika if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- Be sure to drain canned crab meat well before mixing to avoid a watery filling.
- You can prepare the filling in advance and store it in the fridge for up to a day.
- For a flakier texture, try using puff pastry instead of crescent dough.
