Crème brûlée doughnuts recipe

Doughnut:

    • 250g strong white bread flour
    • 50g butter, diced
    • 1 x 7g sachet dried fast-action yeast
    • 200g caster sugar
    • 100ml milk
    • 1 egg
    • sunflower oil for deep-frying

Custard Filling:

  • 150g custard (from a 500g carton)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough: Mix flour, butter, yeast, 3 tbsp sugar, milk, and egg. Knead until smooth. Let it rise.
  2. Shape and fry: Roll out dough, cut into rounds, fill with custard, and fry until golden.
  3. Caramelize sugar: Coat doughnuts in sugar and caramelize with a blowtorch.
