Perfect for a sweet treat that’s easy to assemble and sure to impress!

Ingredients

Scale

Base Layer

  • 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup salted butter, melted

Topping Layers

  • 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1⅓ cup flaked coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat and prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until the mixture is evenly coated and resembles wet sand.
  2. Press the crust: Press the graham cracker mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking pan, creating an even layer to serve as the crust.
  3. Add condensed milk: Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the crust, spreading gently to cover the surface without disturbing the base layer.
  4. Layer remaining ingredients: Sprinkle butterscotch chips evenly over the condensed milk layer, followed by the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Next, evenly distribute the flaked coconut and top with the chopped pecans for a delightful crunch.
  5. Bake the bars: Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until the edges are golden and the top is bubbling lightly. Keep an eye to prevent over-browning.
  6. Cool and serve: Remove the bars from the oven and allow them to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Once cooled, cut into bars and serve.

Notes

  • For easier cutting, chill the bars in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before slicing.
  • Substitute walnuts or almonds if pecans are unavailable or based on preference.
  • Use mini chocolate chips to ensure even melting and distribution.
  • Store bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
