Description

These Easy Homemade Glazed Doughnut Holes are a delicious sweet treat that can be made at home. They are fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and coated in a sweet vanilla glaze.

Ingredients

Scale

For the glaze:

  • 1 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 3 1/2 tablespoons whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

For the doughnut holes:

  • 5 cups vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup (½ stick) unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glaze: In a bowl, whisk together confectioners’ sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Make the doughnut holes: In a large bowl, mix together milk and egg. Add flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
  3. Fry the doughnut holes: Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot. Using a small cookie scoop, drop dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  4. Glaze the doughnut holes: Dip each doughnut hole into the glaze and place on a wire rack to set.

Notes

  • Make sure the oil is at the right temperature before frying to ensure the doughnut holes cook evenly.
  • You can customize the glaze by adding different flavors such as chocolate or lemon.
