Peanut Nougat

  • 1 Egg White room temperature
  • 1½ cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Corn Syrup
  • ½ cup Water
  • ½ cup Peanut Butter
  • ½ tsp Vanilla Extract

Chocolate Coating

  • 500 g Semi Sweet Chocolate

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Caramel: Combine sugar, heavy cream, milk, and salt in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until the mixture reaches 240°F. Stir in peanuts and pour into a lined baking dish.
  2. Make the Peanut Nougat: Beat egg white until stiff peaks form. In a separate saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Cook until it reaches 275°F, then slowly stream into the egg white. Add peanut butter and vanilla, mix well, then spread over the caramel layer.
  3. Add the Chocolate Coating: Melt the semi-sweet chocolate and pour over the nougat layer. Spread evenly and chill until set. Cut into bars and enjoy!
