Ingredients

Scale

For the Cheeseburger Bombs

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tube refrigerated biscuit dough (about 8 biscuits)

For the Garlic Parmesan Topping

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons finely minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Beef Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Cook the Beef: Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the seasoned ground beef until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess grease and set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  4. Prepare the Biscuit Dough: Open the tube of refrigerated biscuit dough and separate into 8 individual biscuits. Flatten each biscuit into a roughly 4-inch circle on a lightly floured surface to create a base for the filling.
  5. Assemble the Bombs: Place a spoonful of the cooked ground beef mixture in the center of each flattened biscuit, then top with shredded cheddar cheese. Carefully fold the biscuit dough around the filling, pinching the edges to seal and shape into a ball. Place each assembled bomb seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Make the Garlic Parmesan Topping: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and minced garlic. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of each biscuit bomb.
  7. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the biscuit dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Add Cheese and Parsley: As soon as the bombs come out of the oven, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the tops, then sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley for a fresh, aromatic finish.
  9. Serve: Allow the bombs to cool slightly before serving to ensure the filling sets a bit. Enjoy warm as a delicious appetizer or entrée.

Notes

  • You can substitute shredded mozzarella or pepper jack cheese for cheddar to vary the flavor.
  • For extra heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the beef mixture or sprinkle some cayenne on top.
  • Make sure to seal the biscuit dough edges well to prevent filling from leaking during baking.
  • These bombs can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator; brush with butter and bake just before serving.
  • Use fresh garlic for the topping rather than pre-minced to maximize flavor.
