  • green sugar sprinkles

Vanilla Buttercream Filling:

  • 3⁄4 cups unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 3 1⁄2 cups confectioner’s sugar
  • 1⁄4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 35Tbsp. heavy whipping cream
  • 12drops red food gel

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cookie Dough: Mix flour, salt, and baking powder. Cream butter and sugar, add egg and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients into wet until combined. Chill dough.
  2. Shape and Bake: Roll out dough, cut into tree shapes, bake until edges are golden. Cool.
  3. Make Buttercream: Beat butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla. Add cream until fluffy. Add red gel for color.
  4. Assemble: Pipe buttercream onto half the cookies, top with remaining cookies. Dip edges in green sprinkles.
  5. Decorate: Create tree patterns with red gel. Enjoy!
