Description

This BBQ Chicken & Bacon Ranch Folded Wrap recipe combines tender BBQ chicken, crispy turkey bacon, creamy ranch dressing, fresh lettuce, and melted cheese all wrapped in a toasted flour tortilla. Perfect for a quick and satisfying lunch or dinner, these wraps are easy to prepare and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

Wrap Ingredients

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or chopped
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 4 strips turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/3 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded romaine or iceberg lettuce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter (for toasting)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the skillet: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add olive oil or butter to coat the surface for toasting the wraps.
  2. Mix chicken and BBQ sauce: In a bowl, combine the cooked chicken with BBQ sauce until the chicken is evenly coated with the sauce.
  3. Cut the tortilla: Lay one large flour tortilla flat on a clean surface and cut a slit halfway up from the bottom of the tortilla to create four quadrants.
  4. Assemble the wrap: Place BBQ chicken in one quadrant, shredded cheese in another, crumbled turkey bacon in the third quadrant, and shredded lettuce mixed with ranch dressing in the last quadrant.
  5. Fold the wrap: Starting from the bottom, fold the tortilla clockwise over each filling section until it forms a compact triangle shape, ensuring the fillings are enclosed.
  6. Toast the wrap: Place the folded wrap in the preheated skillet and toast for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, pressing gently with a spatula, until the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese inside has melted.
  7. Rest and serve: Remove the wrap from the skillet and let it rest for 1 minute before cutting or serving to allow the filling to set slightly.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated cheese for the best melting texture and flavor.
  • Do not overfill the tortillas to prevent them from bursting open during cooking.
  • Warm tortillas slightly before folding to make them more pliable and easier to fold without tearing.
